GM Employee Discount for Service

The Certified Service GM Employee Discount Program has been extended for the 2016 calendar year. The program offers all US GM salaried, hourly, and retired employees a discount towards any customer-pay service or parts purchase at participating US dealerships.

Active employees and retirees that spend $25 or more in the service lane, in the body shop or on an over the counter parts purchase are eligible to receive a discount towards their purchase. The eligible discount is based on the total customer pay job card value or parts purchases before tax and shop supplies.

This program is effective through December 31, 2016, with a limit of one certificate per service event or over the counter parts purchase per visit. Up to three discount certificates can be requested by the eligible employee or retiree per year. Dealers must include the employee's Certificate of Authorization number when submitting the reimbursement claim.

Claims are submitted with transaction type ZSSP and the appropriate reimbursement amount in the miscellaneous net item field. The unique 9-digit Employee Certificate Authorization number supplied by the employee must be entered in the reference field.

All claims must be submitted to GM by March 1, 2017, to be considered eligible for reimbursement.
